As someone on the Paleo Diet, I’ve often wondered if there are Paleo friendly frozen meals available at major grocery store chains like Meijer – we did a bit of research to see what we could find out.

Are there Paleo Frozen Dinners at Meijer? There are a handful of Paleo frozen dinners in the Meijer freezer aisle from Evol at select stores. Although the meals are advertised as Paleo Friendly, they do include ingredients that may not be acceptable to individuals following a strict version of the Paleo Diet.

There are several considerations to keep in mind. We will cover all of your options as a Meijer shopper trying to find Paleo frozen meals.

Why Meijer for Paleo Frozen Dinners

The Paleo diet has become more and more popular over the last 10 years, especially where people are starting to understand and experience the benefits of a whole foods, natural diet.

However, in our busy lifestyles, it’s understandable that you might find it hard to prepare all of your Paleo meals from scratch, whether that’s because you’re tired or you just don’t have the time.

So finding a tasty Paleo frozen dinner in the store may just be the ideal alternative to just throwing in the towel and getting takeout. If you’re local to a Meijer store, you might be wondering if there are any Paleo frozen dinners available.

We’ve taken a look at Meijer’s offerings and have found a few Paleo meals that you’re bound to love!

Can’t Find Anything in the Meijer Frozen Aisle? National Companies Offering Paleo Meals

However, we appreciate that although Meijer do have a couple of Paleo frozen dinners on offer, you may not like the options, or you may be worried that you’ll get bored of them after a while.

If that’s the case, we’ve also dropped a few national companies offering Paleo meal delivery to your doorstep down below, who we’ve formed strong relationships with due to their nutritional philosophies and values.

If you’re out of the catchment area for some of these local New Jersey meal delivery services, or perhaps you have strict dietary requirements, you might be interested in getting meals delivered by a national company specializing in the Paleo Diet who can accommodate these needs. Here are a few of our trusted favorites!

Paleo on the Go, with their affordable Paleo and AIP plans that are shipped to all addresses nationwide, are a great option for Paleo food delivery Southern California services.
Paleo On the Go

Paleo on the Go

Paleo on the Go is one of our favorite go-tos when we’re looking for Paleo dinners that are also AIP-friendly. All of the meals at Paleo on the Go are completely AIP, meaning that you don’t need to worry about searching for AIP-specific dinners.

Some examples of Paleo on the Go’s current menu are: Spinach and Mushroom Beef Lasagne, Chicken and Dumplings, Savory Hash Breakfast Bowl, and even a Pumpkin Pie! Their menu rotates seasonally so that you can enjoy meals that are based around ingredients that are in-season, which is good for the local suppliers and the environment.

One of the numerous great things about Paleo on the Go is that they create products and meals for yearly events, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. This takes all of the stress out of preparing a Paleo-complient, AIP-friendly dinner, but is also great to bring with you to other people’s houses if they are hosting.

Full meals from Paleo on the Go cost between $16.75 and $19.75 on their own. However, if you purchase a monthly meal bundle, you’ll get 13 items for $225 ($17.30 each).

Meals are generally sold in ready-made bundles, although Paleo on the Go does also give the option of buying meals individually at different price points. If you don’t mind experimenting with different meals, we highly recommend one of their meal bundles; their AIP starter pack includes 4 meals, 1 soup, 1 dessert and 1 broth for only $99.

The Good Kitchen

The Good Kitchen

Last but not least on our list today is The Good Kitchen, a brand name you might already be familiar with. The Good Kitchen has gained popularity in recent years due to teaming up with Walmart’s healthy eating initiative. This means that you may have already seen The Good Kitchen’s Paleo frozen dinner line instores.

However, The Good Kitchen primarily operates as a meal delivery service, which is good news for those who might not live near to a Walmart store. Instead, you can order delicious Paleo meals for home delivery.

The Good Kitchen has a wide range of meals available, all of which are in-season. Many of their meals are also Whole30-approved, which means that they are automatically Paleo-friendly. You can order these Paleo meals separately (a la carte), or by opting for a subscription service. The subscription service works out cheaper per meal and can be set as a weekly, biweekly or even monthly subscription. Alternatively, you can use the a la carte option to select as many meals as you like (minimum of 7 meals) and receive free delivery.

This Paleo business also boasts of their strong ties with local suppliers. They source 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, free-range eggs, pasture-raised poultry, pork, lamb and turkey, and Seafood Watch-compliant seafood. They also try to source only from farms that use regenerative farming practices, which is better for the nutrient-density of your food as well as being great for the environment.

Final Thoughts

We hope that this article has been informative and helpful in regards to what’s currently on offer for Paleo practitioners at Meijer. We also hope that you’re able to find a retailer that suits your needs, whether that be buying instore at Meijer, or by ordering from one of the national Paleo meal delivery companies listed above.

Although ultimately the Paleo diet emphasises the importance of preparing your own meals, it’s nice to see businesses that care about the same things we do and making the effort to meet our needs. And especially at times when going out to buy your own food seems unfeasible (ahem – Covid19), it’s good to know that you can still eat healthily without leaving your home.

My goal with this website is to help get the message out about grain free diets such as the Paleo and Primal diets, SCD diet and GAPS diet, so that more people might benefit from them. My other main goal is to help everyone transitioning to these diets, which can be challenging when first starting down this path. It definitely was for me.
