Are There Any Paleo Frozen Dinners at Publix?

Our readers in the southern US have often wondered if they can pick up Paleo-friendly frozen meals at their local Publix. We attempted to do some research on the frozen dinners available at Publix supermarkets looking at their Paleo offerings to attempt to answer this question for them.

There are currently two Paleo frozen meals available at Publix supermarkets in the freezer aisle. Both are made by Evol Foods and advertise themselves as Paleo-friendly. They are the Unwrapped Chicken Egg Roll Bowl and Guajillo Chicken & Cauliflower Bowl.

That said, these meals may not work for everyone depending on how strictly you are following the Paleo diet. In this article we cover what we found in more detail and make suggestions for avid Publix shoppers on how to purchase Paleo compliant meals when you are in a time crunch.

Why Publix Paleo Frozen Meals?

Well, 2020 was one interesting year, that much is certain. From a global pandemic to multiple lockdowns to protests to elections, it’s become apparent that looking after your health is so important (although there have certainly been times I’ve reached for the wine bottle this year).

If you’ve also realised that following a Paleo lifestyle is integral to maintaining your health through unprecedented times like these, you might be asking yourself whether there are Paleo frozen meals available in your local stores, such as Publix.

In other articles, we’ve covered other companies such as Whole Foods and Safeway, but today’s we’re wondering whether there are any Paleo frozen dinners at Publix.

And through our research, we’ve discovered that yes, there are a couple of Paleo-friendly frozen dinners on offer at your local Publix store.

Read on to find out what they are, as well as other healthy, but not quite Paleo frozen meals at Publix.

At this moment in time, there are only 2 completely Paleo frozen meal options available in stores and online at Publix. They are both made by Evol, which is a company that specialises in creating Paleo-friendly and low-carb/Keto meals that can be heated at home.

These are the ones currently on offer at Publix, complete with their ingredients list:

Quasi-Paleo Frozen Dinners at Publix

Not everyone needs to eat a strict Paleo diet all of the time, and if you’re one of the lucky ones, you may find that quasi-Paleo frozen meals might add variety to your busy lifestyle.

We call these ‘quasi-Paleo’ because although they encompass most of the Paleo principles, the following meals contain ingredients that aren’t typically Paleo and may cause adverse reactions in certain people. For this reason we’ve highlighted in bold the ingredients that aren’t allowed on the Paleo diet so that you can make informed decisions.

Final Thoughts

We hope that this article has been helpful for you today, and that you now know exactly how to get your hands on Paleo frozen dinners at your local Publix retailer.

We appreciate that in normal circumstances, making Paleo dinners from scratch is the most healthy way to follow a Paleo diet, but if this year has taught us anything, it’s that Paleo frozen meals and meal delivery companies can be lifesavers.

When we’re hesitant to go out and mingle with other people, it’s great to know that we can rely on businesses that are just as passionate about health as we are, and that is good news!

If there are any other Paleo meal companies that have particularly impressed you recently, please do let us know. As well as this, if there are any Paleo frozen dinners available at your local Publix that we may not have come across, tell us so that we can include them.

My goal with this website is to help get the message out about grain free diets such as the Paleo and Primal diets, SCD diet and GAPS diet, so that more people might benefit from them. My other main goal is to help everyone transitioning to these diets, which can be challenging when first starting down this path. It definitely was for me.
